Driving Tours

For the driving tours, the emboldened sites are the principal places of interest and the italicised sites are for the intrepid – sometimes because of access difficulties and sometimes because you need a lot of imagination.

Many of the sites on the routes are Scheduled Monuments. Please respect them by not clambering all over them, so that future generations can enjoy them too.

The churches tend to be locked for security reasons and we have said where to collect the key when the keyholder was happy for us to do so. Otherwise you may have to telephone beforehand if you wish to gain access inside the churches.

Please bear in mind that some of the other sites will also be closed at various times; in particular some of the castles close for the winter, so please check beforehand.

Route 1 - Betws-y-Coed to Abergwyngregyn
